We all want to be good at something, and some people just want to win at Halloween. If that’s the type of person you are, we get it – we too have an incurable case of October 31st-itis. Whether you’re fueled with the desire to finally win the office costume contest, to bake the most realistic witches’ fingers or to dream up the spookiest beverage, we hear you loud and clear.

NO COSTUME? NO PROBLEM!

Halloween has come a long way in the last decade. There are more superheroes to emulate, more horror movie sequels to catch up on and even better ways to jazz up a costume party. But no matter how much effort you make life gets in the way, and people will come to your party straight from work forgetting to put on their costume. Do. Not. Make them feel bad. Understood? Instead, take them straight to your tickle trunk and makeup stash and set them up for success.

PLAN YOUR HAUNTED COCKTAIL BAR

Unlike potlucks, themed parties require planning. If you’re going to be serving up ghoulish drinks, stock up on glassware, extra ice, Halloween napkins, and drink tags so guests can re-use glasses. Consider renting stemware so that, instead of having to hand wash or run the dishwasher throughout the night, you can replace glasses as needed. Consider borrowing ice coolers – you’ll need extra ice to make sure all your costumed guests get a chance to try your Spooky Ghost signature cocktail.

NOTHING SCARY ABOUT THIS DESSERT TABLE

There’s no right or wrong way to throw a party, but if you’re serving these terrifyingly delicious vodka-based cocktails, make sure to complement them with a dessert table.
